Workshops
Workshops at Rocky River HQ come in a few different flavours:
3 or 4 each year are led by our visiting artists-in-residence
some are presented by Rocky River locals (thinking, writing, crafting, building, creating)
others are run by you, coming to share your skill, knowledge, passion to our regular guests and extended community (contact Jess about running a workshop at RRHQ)
Camping and glamping available for workshops facilitators and participants, via Hipcamp or contact Jess directly about groups, camp catering, or anything else that Hipcamp doesn’t cover.
Camp at Rocky River HQ
We love to share the beautiful space where we live, and have lots of tips for areas to explore.
-
Camping with easy access from the road, and to the Timbarra River. It has a gentle slope at the entry point, and some lovely flat sites for camping. A few gums give shade, and the area is fully fenced. You can explore the rocky slabs and ever-changing river to find the best dipping spots.
-
Camp anywhere in the hidden valley, centred around Tom's Creek. You'll need a 4wd (or sturdy legs!) and a sense of adventure up here, but you'll have absolute peace, and your choice of where to go. You'll be neighbours with dingoes, kangaroos, and all kinds of other wildlife.
Parties
We put on epic private parties — think pseudohistorical treasure hunts, robin hood birthdays, any excuse for a bonfire, ecological adventures…
We do this for our RRHQ locals because it’s a large part of how we connect together as a community. But we’re also open to hosting special events with our kind of cool cats; get in touch if that might be you.
