Dot’s Country

I was gurneying some mats in the sun when Dorothea Mackellar’s poem My Country started running through my mind.

So I thought I’d share it….

Dorothea was 19 and in England when she wrote this. First published in 1908. It felt very close to me when I lived in abroad.

It still chokes me up!
