Words worn thin as hungry eyes feast on them again

The mind reels and the heart beats to consider the impact

A single glance, a simple touch, not even a kiss  —

everything has changed

I’m remembering who I am, and who I want to be

I make no apologies...

A spark of — recognition, is it?

Like looking in a mirror, seeing the familiar

And remembering what you’ve missed

There are things I want from you;

That in myself I’ve let slide into shadow

There are things to learn from you;

I thirst for your knowledge

and I hold faith that it flows both ways.
